Boreal ski resort adding all-season freeride, freeski learning center
Want to learn how to snowboard or ski all year round? Boreal Mountain Resort will offer this experience in the future.
Boreal to expand its niche in the world of action sports and youth with the opening of Tahoe Woodward, a young action sports and freeskiing freeride educational center and camp program. "Woodward's experience" will come to the boreal forest, with a new facility that will attract riders and skiers of all levels.
Nevada County Planning Commission recently approved the plans submitted by the boreal forest to construct a 33,000 square feet at the base station, the largest of its kind in the United States. Woodward Tahoe is planned to open in summer 2012 and will operate as a center of the year for education, training, special events and camp programs.
Snowboard Winter Ski and partnerships are not new at Camp Woodward. There is one at Copper Mountain in Colorado, a sister station of the boreal forest.
Woodward Tahoe will offer week-long summer camps, snowboard, ski, skate, BMX, and cheer / gymnastics with accommodation on site for campers. Woodward Tahoe will include a skatepark inside ski / ride ramps, foam pits, trampolines, cyberspace and the media and the outdoor park and pipe line in the summer.
Winter will provide much of the same format on a drop-in program, daily.
